Pilgrimage Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive
Check in at Dublin airport for our flight to Lyon. Following our arrival at Lyon we will make our way to the
baggage claim area and collect our luggage. We will proceed to the arrival's hall, where our guide will be
waiting to bring you to your coach for you transfer to La Salette. La Salette is a renowned pilgrimage site
located in the French Alps, famous for the apparition of the Virgin Mary to two shepherd children in 1846.
Upon arrival in La Salette, settle into your accommodations and take some time to relax after your journey.
Once you're ready, head to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of La Salette. Spend the day exploring the sanctuary,
attending Mass, and taking in the serene surroundings.
Day 2 - La Salette
Today is dedicated to further exploration of La Salette. Take your time to immerse yourself in the spiritual
atmosphere of the sanctuary. Attend Mass and participate in a guided tour. Don't forget to spend some quiet
moments in prayer and reflection at the site of the apparition and in the chapels and shrines around the
sanctuary. Take some time to visit the Museum of La Salette, which showcases artifacts, documents, and
exhibits related to the history of the sanctuary and the apparitions. Gain insight into the lives of the shepherd
children and the impact of the La Salette apparition on the Catholic faith.
Day 3 - La Salette Hike
After breakfast we will have Mass and some free time. After lunch we will Embark on a hike along the
pilgrimage trail leading from the sanctuary to the Cross of La Salette, which offers panoramic views of the
surrounding Alps. Take in the natural beauty of the landscape as you hike, and use the time for personal
reflection and prayer. After your hike, return to the sanctuary to rest and refresh before dinner in the hotel.
Day 4 - Aix-en-Provence
After breakfast, bid farewell to La Salette and travel to Aix-en-Provence. Check into your accommodations in
Aix-en-Provence and take some time to rest and refresh. In the afternoon, explore the city, including its
churches and cathedrals. Visit the Cathedral of Saint-Sauveur and spend time in prayer before the relics of St.
Mary Magdalene, housed in the crypt. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and soak in the atmosphere of Aix-enProvence by night.
Day 5 - The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Laus
After breakfast, embark on your journey to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Laus. Attend Mass, visit the Chapel
of the Apparitions, and explore other significant sites within the sanctuary. Engage in personal prayer and
reflection, contemplating the messages of Our Lady of Laus and seeking her guidance in your life. Take some
time to visit the Sanctuary Museum, which showcases artifacts, documents, and exhibits related to the
history of the sanctuary and the apparitions before we return to Aix-en-Provence and relax before dinner in
the hotel
Day 6 - Shrine of St. Mary Magdalene & Spring of St. Joseph
After breakfast, journey to the Shrine of St. Mary Magdalene in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume. Explore the
shrine and basilica, attend Mass, and participate in any scheduled prayers or devotions. Spend time in quiet
contemplation, reflecting on the life and witness of St. Mary Magdalene. Consider visiting the Dominican
convent adjacent to the basilica to learn more about the saint and her connection to the region. After Lunch
we will head to Cotignac to visit the Spring of St. Joseph and Apparition of Our Lady of Grace. After visiting
the Spring of St. Joseph, make your way to the Grotto of Apparition, where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared
to a shepherd girl named Jeanne de Lestang in 1519.Take your time to pray and meditate in the tranquil
surroundings of the grotto. Many pilgrims come here seeking solace, healing, and blessings. Return to Aix-enProvence and relax before dinner in the hotel
Day 7 - Depart
Early transfer to the airport for flight back to Dublin from Marseille.
*It is our intention to follow the itinerary as outlined above, however due to many factors like local holidays, traffic or weather conditions it may be necessary to make changes to the order of events or even the cancelation of certain events.
